    MotsDeMinuit 0.5.0

Release notes for version 0.5.0 (build +5) — the game speaks Dutch, the
Dictionnaire lands next to the board, and the day turns over at midnight.

    What is Mot de Minuit?

Once a day you receive 16 letter tiles with Scrabble-like values (1–4) and
3 daily challenges. Assemble one word from the tiles — each tile usable only
once. Your base score is the total value of the tiles your word consumes,
and every challenge you satisfy adds its difficulty-weighted bonus on top.
Everyone plays the same puzzle on the same day, generated deterministically
from date + seed — and you get one shot a day: once you submit, the day
    is closed.

    What's new in 0.5.0

    • The game speaks Dutch — a language switch in the configuration page
(« Suivre la langue de l'appareil », Français, Nederlands): the whole
app follows the chosen game language — UI, rules dressing, and the daily
pipeline. Each language plays on its own data: the Dutch build ships the
WikiWoordenboek word list and a Dutch frequency corpus, the challenge cards
carry per-language curated examples, and the Wiktionary link follows the
      game language too.
    • The Dictionnaire — form a valid word and the dictionary medallion appears
next to the score; touch it to read the word's definitions, served from
bundled pre-sharded Wiktionary/WikiWoordenboek assets with a link out to the
full entry. Every played word in the historique opens the same page from its
      card.
    • The day turns over at midnight — keep the app open across midnight and
the board resets itself for the new day's puzzle, no restart needed.
    • Ton Parcours — each revealed previous week is crowned with its own score
      card.
    • The rules wear their success — a satisfied challenge card shows in its
succeeded dressing; « Syllabe répétée » is renamed « Séries de lettres
répétées », the single-vowel card explains its repeat-count wording with two
more examples, and the proper-noun challenge card is dropped.
    • A new launcher icon — a letter tile M on the night sky, with the adaptive
icon fix so it renders correctly on masked launchers.
    • Layout fixes — the dictionary medallion never moves the board, the rules
carousel swipes with a mouse drag on desktop, and the score pill is a plain
      centered read-out.

    Channels

    • F-Droid and Google Play (store builds, version code 5).
    • FOSS APK for Android — attached to this release.
    • AppImage for Linux (French, x86_64).

    MotsDeMinuit 0.5.0 — Nederlands

Release-notities voor versie 0.5.0 (build +5) — het spel spreekt
Nederlands, het woordenboek verschijnt naast het bord en de dag gaat om
    middernacht over.

      sobere gecentreerde uitlezing.

    MotsDeMinuit 0.4.0

Release notes for version 0.4.0 (build +4) — the two-tab statistics,
the parcours trail and the difficulty-weighted challenge bonuses.

Everyone plays the same puzzle on the same day, generated deterministically
from date + seed — and you get one shot a day: once you submit, the day
    is closed.

    What's new in 0.4.0

    • A two-tab statistics page — « Cette semaine / Tout le temps »: the
running week's total as the hero number with the best week and the weeks
played in a row as constellation chips, the three challenge rows for the
chosen scope, and the day-by-day letters with their scores. The page is
read-only now: it wears the night-sky backdrop and constellation panels,
no forgiveness row, no day taps.
    • The historique page on the night sky — played words become
constellation cards built from the challenge cards' own pieces (ornate
gold frame, medallion, shield badge), the day's best word lit in gold.
    • Ton Parcours grows — a week score card crowns the seven day cards, the
cards run a third slimmer so the freed space breathes below the week, and
« Voir la semaine précédente » reveals past weeks one tap at a time, each
named by its dd/mm dates, with a gilded weekday initial on every card and
section breaks between weeks. The trail stops at the first unplayed week.
    • Challenge bonuses scale with difficulty (1–5) — the flat +2 is gone:
palindromes and repeated letter groups award 5, the hard structure cards 4,
      rare or highly specific forms 3, moderate cards 2 and the common ones 1;
the déclinable count rules score exactly their count.
    • A configuration page in the night-sky dressing — sound effects switch,
the whole screen wrapped in the board's starfield.
    • Board titles that follow the week — a day of the running week is titled
by its weekday (« Mots de mardi »), a finished week's day by its date.
    • Layout fixes — the front page fits the 7-inch tablet, the board is
size-capped in landscape, and « Inviter un ami » is removed.

    Coming next

Friends' rooms with join codes and owner approvals, the weekly leaderboard
with per-day scores and winner display, and notifications.

    MotsDeMinuit 0.3.0

Release notes for version 0.3.0 (build +3) — the night-sky restyle and
    the Parcours release.

    What is Mot de Minuit?

Once a day you receive 16 letter tiles with Scrabble-like values (1–4) and
3 daily challenges. Assemble one word from the tiles — each tile usable only
once. Your base score is the total value of the tiles your word consumes, and
every challenge you satisfy adds +2 on top. Everyone plays the same puzzle
on the same day, generated deterministically from date + seed — and you get
one shot a day: once you submit, the day is closed.

    What's new in 0.3.0

    • Ton Parcours — your journey through the week — a new day-by-day gateway
between the title screen and the board: every day of the week is a
constellation card threaded on a gold line against the night sky, with its
score, its record, and one tap to play it.
    • The midnight board — the board is fully restyled: ivory tiles with dark
ink and chunky 3D faces, a thin glowing gold line under a valid word, a
darker score pill with a gold glow, and the night sky flowing through the
      transparent app bars.
    • Restyled challenge cards — constellation layout with a gold frame, an
emblem medallion, and a small-caps label; more breathing room above the
      stack.
    • Play the whole week from the stats page — the day-strip pills tell
locked and improvable days apart, and every day of the running week is
playable from the strip. Future days are firmly locked out (no button on
the parcours, a dialog on the stats strip).
    • Finer board mechanics — the board holds still while the word grows, the
word row is airier, and the today card opens directly with Jouer instead of
      Améliorer.
    • Layout polish — the title sits on three lines, the parcours card is
bigger, and the full week fits on screen.

Coming next (per the high-level plan)

Friends' rooms with join codes and owner approvals, the weekly leaderboard
with per-day scores and winner display (the weekly table is already shaped
    for it), and notifications.

    MotsDeMinuit 0.2.0

Release notes for version 0.2.0 (build +2) — the history-and-stats
    release.

    What's new in 0.2.0

    • The app opens on your statistics — a new weekly stats page is now the
start screen: navigate week by week ("Semaine N"), see each day's score in
the per-day strip and the weekly table, and race yourself with the
This week / Personal best / Last week chips.
    • Your streak, with its flame — days played in a row, your best streak
ever, and a flame on the start screen while a streak is alive to protect
("Reviens demain pour ne pas casser ta série"). Missed days this week are
shown honestly with a make-up nudge.
    • Game history (day journal) — a new Historique page lists every valid
      word you captured during the day with the points it earned, best first;
after you submit, the day's best possible words per score level are
      revealed alongside it.
    • Finished days are permanent — the submitted day's board, challenge
cards, word and final score are stored and restored exactly as you left
them: relaunch-proof, and reopenable any time via Voir la partie jouée.
    • Sound effects — a chime when a new word becomes valid, a fanfare when
you break your day record, and a sealing resolve when you submit.
    • Confetti — bursts when you break your record and when you submit; the
celebration grows exponentially with the word's score (safely capped so an
astonishing word can never flood the phone).
    • Fixes — the Play button no longer hides on already-played days, the
board reopens cleanly when the seed changes, and the stats page refreshes
the moment a word is submitted.

Coming next (per the high-level plan)

Friends' rooms with join codes and owner approvals, the weekly leaderboard
with per-day scores and winner display (the weekly table is already shaped

    MotsDeMinuit 0.1.0

Release notes for version 0.1.0 (build +1) — first public release.

    What's in this release

    • The daily board — a 4×4 grid of letter tiles, each showing its letter and
power value; a word row that grows as you place tiles (tap a placed letter to
truncate from there, shuffle the remaining tiles).
    • A deterministic daily puzzle — tiles, values and the 3 challenge cards are
derived purely from date + seed: same board for everyone, no server round-trip,
      a new game at midnight.
    • 3 fixed daily challenges as cards with live green/neutral badges while you
type — +2 per satisfied challenge, no penalties.
    • French dictionary validation — only valid words can be submitted; the board
turns green the moment your word becomes valid.
    • Full scoring with breakdown — base = sum of the consumed tiles' power, plus
      challenge bonuses.
    • Submit → reveal — the day closes on submit; you immediately see your result
with the day's best words per score level (from a frequency word corpus). No word
      before midnight scores 0.
    • Two apps, two languages — a French app and an independent Dutch app, shipped
      as separate per-language builds.
    • Linux AppImage — a self-contained desktop build, attached to this release as
      a download asset.
    • A complete, FOSS-first release pipeline — dual build flavours (FOSS for
F-Droid with no analytics; Play flavour with Firebase), F-Droid reproducible
reference-build tooling, and Fastlane store metadata.
