SoftWakeup 1.0.6 Stable
released this
2026-09-19 08:21:16 +00:00 | 1 commits to main since this releaseSoftWakeup 1.0.6
Release notes for version 1.0.6 (build
+7).What's new
Ring screen
- Stop and Snooze stay usable — if an action stalls while the alarm rings
(the phone busy at exactly that moment), the buttons no longer lock up: the
same Stop/Snooze can be pressed again, and a small hourglass shows the
alarm is working on it. - Every dismissal stays retryable — a failed snooze, stop or
auto-complete releases the dismissal guard instead of leaving the ring
screen stuck.
Ring window (Play build)
- Analytics can't hold up the alarm — ring-window analytics events are
buffered (quiet 30-second flush, drop-oldest) so Firebase's main-thread
work never contends with the alarm plugin's channel handling at ring time.
Screen layout
- Nothing hidden behind the navigation bar — screens run edge-to-edge
and keep interactive content above the translucent system navigation bar;
on OEM skins that never report the inset (e.g. One UI 7 with 3-button
navigation) a floor keeps the last controls fully tappable.
Soft wake-up
- Snooze between soft rings defaults to 5 minutes — new soft alarms
space their rings 5 minutes apart (previously 10). Existing alarms keep
their setting.
Notes
- Privacy: the Android advertising ID is now declared for Firebase analytics
only — the app serves no ads and does not use it for advertising or
personalisation (privacy policy updated in the same change).

SoftWakeup 1.0.5 Stable
released this
2026-08-27 12:34:18 +00:00 | 10 commits to main since this releaseSoftWakeup 1.0.5
Release notes for version 1.0.5 (build
+6).What's new
Alarm editor
- Vibration toggle — switch vibration on or off per alarm, for both the
normal alarm and the soft wake-up ("Vibrate while ringing" switch). Defaults
on, so existing alarms ring as before.
Ringtone preview
- Plays at alarm volume — the preview now uses the alarm's volume level
instead of the general media volume, so you hear what the alarm will sound
like. - Restarts on change, stops on leave — changing the volume restarts the
tone from the beginning, and leaving the screen stops it.
Notification actions (reliability)
- Stop really stops — pressing Stop on the ringing notification now
disarms a soft alarm's whole chain, exactly like the ring screen's button
(previously it only silenced the ringing step, behaving like Snooze). - Snooze re-arms correctly — snoozing from the notification re-arms the
alarm through the same path as the ring screen.

SoftWakeup 1.0.4 Stable
released this
2026-08-26 10:03:50 +00:00 | 17 commits to main since this releaseSoftWakeup 1.0.4
Release notes for version 1.0.4 (build
+5).What's new
Ringing screen
- Back button snooze — pressing the system Back button while the alarm
rings now snoozes it, just like the volume buttons. A deliberate action,
so it is a deliberate snooze: no accidental dismissal.
Reliability
- Stale ring clean-up — a soft wake-up step that fired but was never
completed (e.g. the app was force-stopped) no longer leaves an old alarm
armed forever. Finished one-time soft steps are now disarmed automatically
at the next launch instead of lingering as a “ghost”. - Dismissal hardening — the Stop / Snooze / Back actions on the ring
screen are guarded against double-firing: a dismissal can no longer trigger
twice (e.g. Back pressed while a Snooze tap is still in flight).
Notes
- Developer tooling (on-device alarm probe, persistent debug ring log) was
added; it is debug-only and does not ship in release builds.

SoftWakeup 1.0.3 Stable
released this
2026-08-22 14:02:09 +00:00 | 25 commits to main since this releaseRelease notes for version 1.0.3 (build
+4).What's new
Privacy
- Advertising ID removed — an analytics dependency was pulling the
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_IDpermission into the app by
mistake. It is now stripped from the manifest: SoftWakeup serves no ads
and never uses the advertising ID. No functional changes.
