auto-dev-env

Install my development environment on a computer, going from zero to a fully functioning setup. It is safe to run it again on an already installed computer: every step then just updates what is there.

Install

curl https://git.gixita.be/gixita/auto-dev-env/raw/branch/main/install.sh | bash

Or clone and run it:

git clone ssh://git@gixita.be/gixita/auto-dev-env.git
cd auto-dev-env
./install.sh

Use bash and not sh: the script needs bash for nvm/node (sh is dash on Ubuntu and cannot run it).

Before you run

Ssh keys are needed for the three repos that get cloned: git.gixita.be, codeberg.org and git.laermans.me.

What it installs

apt update/upgrade, fzf, ripgrep, uv, nvm + node 26 (default) + copilot, pi, ollama, neovim in /opt, my dotfiles from mysystem stowed into , tmux + stow, golang + lazygit, rust + yazi, and my config repos (/.pi, ~/.config/nvim).
